I have a bloodline from most of these places, not sure about Cornwall and Brittany
Now I understand the source of the problem .
The Gaels were the original Celts in Ireland who migrated to the other areas.
The Romans called Ireland Hibernus which in some way goes back to land of cold where we get our word hibernation.
The Irish called their land Eire
I checked to see if (ire,) the word for anger comes from Irish. The Greek spelling which resembles the Latin meaning frenzy.
So--- ire didn't come from Irish------------ but it would have been cool----- no distant pun intended.
