Today is Vernal Equinox or Equal Night. Simply put - the first day of Spring.The first picture is an oak tree in spring flower near Bigbee Valley Miss. It has been spaired to see another spring though alone now.
The compound leaflets are Shagbark Hickory or as we call them Scaly Bark.
The golden dangles are the delicate flowers of an oak.
The last two are the flowers of the Redbud. They and the Red Maple light up the spring explosion with pink and crimson. Bees are working every flower. Dogwoods are in bloom already. The deep South is solid gold with splashes of color.
